A batch of quinoa goes a long—and delicious—way. Prep for a week's worth of meals by cooking a couple batches of quinoa on Sunday. Quinoa should last 3-4 days in the fridge so use the first half immediately and freeze the second half to use later (brilliant!).
The next part is a cinch: To freeze cooked quinoa, first spread it out on a sheet pan to cool. Fill gallon bags up about halfway, squeezing out any excess air, and then freeze flat. Using this method to freeze quinoa prevents it from becoming a frozen block and makes it easier to store in the freezer. Voila! Frozen quinoa should last about 3-4 months in the freezer…just don't forget to label and date the bag!
