1 pkg. PERDUE® Fresh Lean Ground Turkey (1 lb.) or PERDUE® Fresh Ground Chicken (1 lb.)
1/4 cup loosely packed fresh mint or cilantro leaves, chopped
1 tablespoon grated lemon peel
4 tablespoons crumbled feta cheese
4 regular size pita breads (5-6 inches)
1 medium tomato, sliced
1 If grilling, grease grill. Preheat grill or broiler.
2 In medium bowl, combine turkey, mint and lemon peel until blended. Shape into 4 oval burgers with 1 tablespoon feta cheese in center of each burger.
3 Grill or broil, turning occasionally, 10 minutes or until meat thermometer inserted in center registers 170°F.
4 To serve, cut top edge off each pita bread. Place burgers and tomato in pita bread and top, if desired, with your favorite condiment.
