Ingredients
1 package PERDUE® Fresh Lean Ground Turkey (alternate: PERDUE® Fresh Ground Chicken) 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 1 envelope (1.31 ounces) Sloppy Joe mix 1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste 1 1/4 cups water 6 hamburger rolls Lettuce as garnish, (optional) Carrot and celery sticks as garnish, (optional)
Instructions
- In a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat, heat oil. Add ground turkey or chicken; cook, stirring often, about 5 minutes, or until meat is no longer pink. Drain.
- Stir in seasoning mix, tomato paste and water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Spoon mixture evenly onto buns. Serve with lettuce, carrot and celery sticks, if desired.
