Ingredients

1 package PERDUE® FIT & EASY® Fresh Ground Turkey Breast (alternate: PERDUE® FIT & EASY® Fresh Ground Chicken Filet of Breast Meat)
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/4 cup green onion, chopped
1/2 cup sour cream
1 can (10 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
1 teaspoon dry cooking sherry (alternate: 1 teaspoon water or chicken broth)
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon paprika
1 loaf French bread
2 ripe tomatoes, sliced
1 cup grated mild cheddar cheese

 

Instructions
  1. Preheat broiler.
  2. Put oil in large skillet over medium-high heat and cook turkey until slightly brown. Stir in green onion, sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, sherry, Worcestershire sauce and paprika. Heat through.
  3. Slice bread loaf lengthwise and place both halves on broiler-proof baking sheet. Spread turkey mixture on both halves, top with tomato slices. Broil 3-5 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle grated cheddar on bread halves and broil an additional 3 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and browned.
  5. Slice and serve.
