Ingredients
1 package PERDUE® FIT & EASY® Fresh Ground Turkey Breast (alternate: PERDUE® FIT & EASY® Fresh Ground Chicken Filet of Breast Meat) 1 tablespoon vegetable oil 1/4 cup green onion, chopped 1/2 cup sour cream 1 can (10 ounces) cream of mushroom soup 1 teaspoon dry cooking sherry (alternate: 1 teaspoon water or chicken broth) 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 1 teaspoon paprika 1 loaf French bread 2 ripe tomatoes, sliced 1 cup grated mild cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat broiler.
- Put oil in large skillet over medium-high heat and cook turkey until slightly brown. Stir in green onion, sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, sherry, Worcestershire sauce and paprika. Heat through.
- Slice bread loaf lengthwise and place both halves on broiler-proof baking sheet. Spread turkey mixture on both halves, top with tomato slices. Broil 3-5 minutes.
- Sprinkle grated cheddar on bread halves and broil an additional 3 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and browned.
- Slice and serve.
