Cornish Hens with White Wine & Herbs

Ingredients

2 PERDUE® Fresh Whole Cornish Hens, Twin Pack
1/2 cup white wine
1/4 cup chopped fresh herbs such as thyme, sage, oregano and rosemary
3 tablespoons olive or vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill or broiler. Split hens in half lengthwise.
  2. In small bowl, combine wine, herbs, oil, salt, sugar and pepper until blended.
  3. Grill or broil hens, turning occasionally and basting with herb sauce, 30 minutes or until thermometer inserted in thickest part of thigh registers 180°F.

Note

Do not baste during last 5 minutes of grilling.
