   Alternate Perdue Products:
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 envelope (1.31 ounces) Sloppy Joe mix
1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
1 1/4 cups water
6 hamburger rolls
Lettuce as garnish, (optional)
Carrot and celery sticks as garnish, (optional)


  1. In a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat, heat oil. Add ground turkey or chicken; cook, stirring often, about 5 minutes, or until meat is no longer pink. Drain.
  2. Stir in seasoning mix, tomato paste and water.  Bring to a boil.  Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Spoon mixture evenly onto buns.  Serve with lettuce, carrot and celery sticks, if desired.
