jar (10 ounces) marinated roasted red peppers, drained, diced
tablespoons tomato paste
clove garlic, minced
tablespoons red wine vinegar
tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
large, very ripe tomato, seeded and finely diced
tablespoons minced red onion
Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Combine crushed tomatoes, barbecue sauce, hot sauce and vinegar in a small saucepan on the stove. Bring to a simmer and cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, if using wings, separate at joints and discard tips
Place wings or wingettes on grill and brush with tomato mixture. Cook for 2 to 5 minutes, or until nicely browned. Turn and baste second side. Cook 3 to 5 minutes or until nicely browned and cooked through, turning and moving occasionally. To test for doneness, remove a large wing from grill and cut into it; juices should run clear.
To prepare Dipping Sauce, stir together all ingredients.
