Wages, Working Conditions and Our Responsibility to Our Associates and Communities
As one of the major employers in many of our communities, we recognize our responsibility to provide a safe, productive and rewarding workplace and to contribute positively to the community.

Poultry Welfare Position Statement
We recognize that our customers and consumers trust that our poultry products come from animals that have been raised in a healthy environment, treated with respect and humanely processed. That's why our birds are raised cage-free in temperature-controlled housing with fresh air ventilation, protected from the elements, disease and predators. They have constant access to food and water and room to move about freely.

Statement on Poultry House Contracts
Our poultry contracts are designed to insulate farmers from most of the financial risks associated with growing chicken while providing stable income and rewarding top performance.

Statement on Nutrition and Health
We offer a wide range of products to help consumers make healthy choices without sacrificing taste or convenience

Perdue responds to lawsuit alleging we knowingly hired undocumented workers
Perdue believes the recently filed class-action lawsuit, alleging that our plant personnel knowingly hired undocumented workers in an effort to keep wages low, is without merit and therefore we will vigorously defend the suit.

Perdue and Poultry Litter
Poultry litter is a valuable resource to the farm partners who raise our birds, and not a waste product.

Statement on the threat to family farms
While the majority of environmental groups recognize that properly managed, economically viable family farms preserve open space and protect watersheds from the impact of development, there are groups who oppose the modern agricultural methods employed by the vast majority of American farm families.

Statement Regarding H.R. 3852 and the Chesapeake Bay Program
Statement of Perdue Farms, Incorporated, Presented by Steve Schwalb, Vice President of Environmental Sustainability, Before Subcommittee on Conversation, Credit, Energy and Research, Committee on Agriculture, United States House of Representatives

Frontline "Poisoned Waters" Statement
We are very disappointed that Frontline chose to ignore what is actually being done by the poultry industry to positively contribute to solving the Bay’s problems ...

Natural Labeling Position Statement
We believe the consumers should be able to trust product labels to provide them with clear, truthful information. That is why Perdue is committed to labeling fresh, raw chicken or turkey products with the claim "Natural" or "All Natural" only if those products have nothing added.

Antibiotics Position Statement
Perdue does not use antibiotics for growth promotion and, as a result of our emphasis on providing a healthy environment for our birds, we do not need to rely on the continuous use of antibiotics to keep our birds healthy.

Environmental Stewardship Position Statement
Perdue is committed to environmental stewardship and shares that commitment with our farm-family partners. Together, we can continue to provide a safe, abundant and affordable food supply while protecting our natural resources.

Food Safety Position Statement
Perdue's comprehensive "farm-to-fork" food safety program provides the assurance that our food products are safe and wholesome.

Growth Hormones Position Statement
Perdue does not use hormones in poultry production or processing, either in feed or any other application.

Product Security Position Statement
With the constant threat of bio-terrorism against the U.S., Perdue can assure customers and consumers that our long-standing practices to prevent the adulteration of products remain in place.

Immigration Position Statement
At Perdue, we support a common-sense approach to immigration policy that enables willing workers to legally seek employment and that ensures a sufficient workforce to support labor-intensive industries, such as food manufacturing.

Perdue Farms Statement on Settlement with Department of Labor
Perdue is committed to treating all job applicants fairly. We regret we did not more carefully document our hiring process for production associates, which led to concerns by the OFCCP and to this settlement.

Perdue Response to Duke Study on Musculoskeletal Symptoms
The recently published Duke University study on musculoskeletal symptoms among poultry industry workers is completely at odds with our own firsthand knowledge and experience based on treating associates everyday in our onsite clinic, and with the progress we've made in addressing ergonomic issues.
