Ingredients
1 PERDUE® OVEN STUFFER® Whole Roaster 1 head garlic 4 large turnips, peeled and cut into chunks 10 small red potatoes 1 can (14 1/2 ounces) chicken broth 2 tablespoons butter 1/4 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350° F. Remove outer layer of garlic head and place inside cavity of roaster.
- Place roaster in a large roasting pan; add turnips and potatoes. Pour chicken broth into pan. Cover and roast, basting occasionally, 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until PERFECT ROASTŪ Thermometer pops up, and meat thermometer inserted in thickest part of thigh registers 180°F. Discard PERFECT ROASTŪ Thermometer.
- Remove garlic from cavity. Squeeze 4 to 6 cloves of roasted garlic into a medium saucepan. Add turnips, potatoes, butter and milk, to garlic in sauce pan; mash.
