Ingredients
2 PERDUE® Fresh Whole Cornish Hens 6 tablespoons canola oil 4 tablespoons plain yogurt 1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper 3 cloves garlic, crushed 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves 1 teaspoon ground black pepper 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon ground cumin 1 teaspoon chili powder 1 teaspoon turmeric 1 teaspoon paprika 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
Instructions
- Split hens in half lengthwise. Place hens in shallow baking dish.
- In small bowl, combine oil, yogurt and remaining ingredients. Pour half of yogurt mixture over hens, turning to coat well. Cover and refrigerate 1 hour or longer. Set aside remaining yogurt mixture.
- Prepare covered grill for cooking. Remove hens from marinade; grill, covered, 5 to 6 inches over medium-hot coals for 15 to 25 minutes or until juices run clear when thigh is pierced, turning and brushing with reserved yogurt mixture 4 to 5 times during grilling.
