Ingredients
8 PERDUE® TENDER & TASTY™ Individually Frozen Chicken Tenderloins 3 tablespoons canola oil 1 egg 1 cup buttermilk 1/2 cup self-rising flour 1 cup cornmeal 1 teaspoon Creole or Cajun seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400° F.
- Pour oil into a 13 x 9 inch baking dish and place in oven.
- In a shallow bowl, beat egg. Whisk in buttermilk.
- Place flour on one plate and cornmeal and seasoning on another. Dip chicken in flour, egg mixture and cornmeal.
- Arrange in hot oil in baking dish; oven-fry, uncovered, 10 minutes. Turn and cook 8 to 10 minutes longer, or until golden brown and cooked through.
