Ingredients
1 package PERDUE® SHORT CUTS® Carved Chicken Breast, Honey Roasted, 6 oz. 1 tablespoon vegetable oil 1 red onion, sliced 1 tablespoon water 4 (6-inch) sub rolls 4 tablespoons horseradish sauce 2 tablespoons mustard 4 slices (1-ounce) cheddar cheese 1 cup sliced Romaine lettuce
Preparation Steps
- Heat vegetable oil in a small skillet. Add onion and cook on medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it begins to caramelize. Add a tablespoon of water and continue to cook, stirring occasionally for 5 more minutes.
- Meanwhile, preheat broiler. Slice rolls lengthwise. Spread each side with horseradish and mustard, and several pieces of chicken. Top with caramelized onions and cheddar.
- Broil open sandwiches 2 to 3 minutes, until cheese melts, chicken is hot and bread is toasted. Add lettuce, close sandwiches and serve.
