Ingredients
3 packages PERDUE® Fresh Chicken Wings or PERDUE® Fresh Chicken Wingettes 1 can (14 1/2 ounces) crushed tomatoes 1/2 cup prepared barbecue sauce 2 teaspoons hot sauce 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar Dipping Sauce: 1/2 jar (10 ounces) marinated roasted red peppers, drained, diced 2 tablespoons tomato paste 1 clove garlic, minced 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 1/2 teaspoon sugar 1 large, very ripe tomato, seeded and finely diced 2 tablespoons minced red onion
Instructions
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Combine crushed tomatoes, barbecue sauce, hot sauce and vinegar in a small saucepan on the stove. Bring to a simmer and cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, if using wings, separate at joints and discard tips
- Place wings or wingettes on grill and brush with tomato mixture. Cook for 2 to 5 minutes, or until nicely browned. Turn and baste second side. Cook 3 to 5 minutes or until nicely browned and cooked through, turning and moving occasionally. To test for doneness, remove a large wing from grill and cut into it; juices should run clear.
Dips
To prepare Dipping Sauce, stir together all ingredients.
