Ingredients
2 PERDUE® Fresh Whole Cornish Hens 1/4 cup honey 2 tablespoons canola oil, divided Zest and juice of 1 orange 1 tablespoon curry powder 2 cloves garlic, minced Salt and ground pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare covered grill for cooking. Split hens in half lengthwise.
- For fruit and honey BBQ sauce, in large bowl, combine honey, 1 tablespoon oil, orange zest and juice, curry, garlic, salt and pepper; set aside.
- When coals are medium-hot and covered with gray ash, rub hens with remaining 1 tablespoon oil; place bone-side down on grill.
- Grill, covered, 20 to 30 minutes until hens are cooked through, juices run clear and a meat thermometer inserted in thigh registers 180°F. Turn hens and brush with fruit and honey BBQ sauce during last 10 minutes of cooking.
