Ingredients
1 package PERDUE® Lean Turkey Sausage Links, Sweet Italian 1 tablespoon olive oil 3/4 cup chopped onion 2 packages (10 ounces each) refrigerated pizza dough 1 package (8 ounces) shredded pizza or mozzarella cheese (2 cups), divided 1 jar (14-15 ounces) pizza sauce, divided 1 sprig fresh parsley 1 cup sliced mushrooms and sliced bell peppers (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F. Remove sausage from casings and crumble.
- In large, nonstick skillet over medium heat, heat 1 tablespoon oil. Add sausage and onion; sauté 5 to 7 minutes, until lightly browned.
- Grease a 15x10-inch jelly roll pan. Open and unroll 1 package pizza dough onto pan, pressing it out toward edges.
- Top with half the sausage mixture and sprinkle with 1 cup cheese. Using a spatula, spread on half the sauce.
- Place second crust on top and layer with remaining sauce, sausage mixture and cheese. Top with parsley, mushrooms and/or peppers.
- Bake 20 to 25 minutes until crust is golden brown.
