Ingredients

1 package PERDUE® Fresh Chicken Wings
Salt and pepper to taste
Tamarind Sauce Ingredients:
1 cup Tamarind concentrate
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup sweet red wine
1 cup chicken broth
3 laurel leaves
1/4 cup vegetable oil
4 tablespoons honey
Green Plantain "Spiders" Ingredients:
2 green plantains
Enough oil to fry

 

Instructions

TAMARIND SAUCE:

  1. Mix Tamarind concentrate with sugar, wine, chicken broth and laurel leaves; heat and bring to a boil.
  2. Separately, in a pan with oil, brown chicken wings on both sides.
  3. Pour Tamarind sauce and honey over the chicken wings and cook until sauce is reduced.

PLANTAIN SPIDERS INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Peel and grate the green plantains.
  2. In abundant hot oil, fry the grated plantain by spoonfuls.
  3. Serve the chicken wings with Tamarind sauce over the green plantain “spiders”.

Las pupusas son verdaderamente deliciosas. Sin embargo, tradicionalmente las pupusas se hacen con harina de arroz (en El Salvador), aunque también se pueden encontrar de maíz. Usualmente están rellenas de Chicharrón, Frijol con Queso, Queso con Loroco y solamente Queso; y no es queso rayado ni mozarella. Pero muy buena receta si no se tiene acceso a los ingredientes tradicionales.

hola, me parece muy sabrosa esta receta ; yo soy de Cuernavaca; Morelos en este estado se le conocen como gorditas y pueden ir rellenas de frijol , chales ,(chicharron molido) y encima si tu quieres se le agrega algún guisado o lechuga o col.
